It's been so long since this Southie last had a decent barbecue spread that's all fresh and sumptious, so I almost cried when I found out Wagyuniku BF Homes Aguirre was sending over some Japanese-Korean goodies one weekend!🙌🏼
They went all out and treated me to an un'beef'lievable meal: Wagyu beef slices, enoki rolls, pork belly, some epic K-cken wings, dips & marinades, and around 10 side dishes featuring a medley of Japanese and Korean BBQ flavors!😱🤯😋 WHEW!😅 Gimme a sec cause I gotta catch my breath, Southies.😄

🥓🥩🍄MEATS: Wagyu Beef, Pork Belly, and Enoki Rolls
They served great quality meats and they were in even slices (sooo perfect!). Everything looked and tasted fresh, plus neatly placed in microwave-safe containers: definitely 'tub' notch! The Wagyu beef was thinly-sliced but not flimsy, so they held their form even after getting tossed around the grill so much. The pork was absolutely premium, 'Jap' like the beef were. What I loved about this is the thickness and length were sooo spot on because it is the perfect layer to your samgyupsal roll. Oh! And the enoki rolls were delicious too! Suuuper loved how fresh the mushrooms were and how great it was with the beef wrap.
🍗🤏🏽CHICKEN WINGS: This was unexpected because I thought there were only raw meats coming, but one helluva surprise!😲😗👌🏼 These are probably one of the *the best* K-cken wings I've ever had! They were sweet but not overly; not spicy so it's right up my alley; and incredibly well-seasoned: inside and out! Suuuper good!👅
🌱🍝🍠🥔🥬SIDE DISHES: Of course the spread won't be complete without some delicious sides! They sent over japchae, kimchi, cheeseballs, anchovies, crispy sweet potatoes, lettuce, pickled raddish, kani salad, Japanese coleslaw, and odeng (fish cake). OMG~😱 I liked all of them but my most favorites were the yummy cheese balls, amazing kimchi, noms japchae, and tasty odeng!😋 Man! The kimchi I loved so much because I'd been craving for weeks: it wasn't too bitter, sour, nor spicy; it was the ideal mix of flavors for me. Also, the cabbage was neatly sliced/cut into strips, plus perfectly folded into their container. Huhu! SO SATISFYING!👀👄👅
💧🍯🌶MARINADES and SAUCES: They sent over their spicy and non-spicy marinades, as well as their wagyuniku, yakiniku, and samjang sauces. I am not really into marinated meats, because I prefer them plain and then dipped in some sauce or just some sesame oil, salt, and pepper, so I only tried a little of them, but they were good. Howevere, when I got to dip some meat in their wagyuniku sauce, tho... WOW!😱 It was mind-blowingly good!🤯😋 It wasn't a boom-at-first-lick kind of thing, but the more I savored it in my mouth, the more it got better! I have never had any sauce as complex-tasting as this before, and I can’t quite explain it, but I can say you will get hooked on this stuff. There was a great balance between the chili and tomato which definitely gave a jenesaisquoi quality to it. Ugh! I'm drooling just thinking about it!🤤 Haha!
🛍🤲🏽PACKAGING and PRESENTATION: I just had to highlight this part, because I super appreciated how everything was packed neatly. Even how the food items were placed inside their containers were orderly!🎁 I could really feel how thoughtfully they prepared everything for delivery, plus the items were secured from spillage.👍🏼🛵💦 Props to the team for this!👏🏼
