When Barbie Bakes asked us if we could try their goods, they went all in and sent over every item on their menu! Displays of generosity like this is enough to move people to 'tiers', so thank you!
Two Southies worked on this review to fully appreciate all that Barbie baked. (This is probably the best time to express just how much we love our jobs. LOL) On to the daunting task ahead…
Cookies: White Choco Cran, Dark Choco Chunks, and Cinnamon Raisin Oats
Barbie set the 'bar'bie—oops We meant to say, she set the *bar* high for these *babies*, cause OMG! Every single one was noms! If we had to pick a favorite, the White Choco Cran would definitely be it!
Mixed Bites: Brownies, Revels, Goddess, and Butterscotch
These were delicious, too! The brownies had a nice bitter choco flavor, plus the salt was a nice touch, but we just fell in love with the Goddess and the Revels. Sooo yuuum!
Cupcakes: Red Velvet and Carrot Walnut
The Red Velvet has yummy frosting and on the sweet side, but not overwhelmingly so. It was delicious! The Carrot Walnut one had a nicely spiced cake, and similar frosting as the red velvet.
Banana loaves: Classic, Choco Chips & Cream Cheese, and Choco Chips, Walnuts & Cranberries
We liked that the Choco Chips & Cream Cheese and the Choco Chips, Walnuts & Cranberries ones were moist and filled with all those ingredients!
Brownie Cups: Salted Caramel, Brookie Dough, Cream Cheese, and Brookie Oreo
The Cream Cheese was nice and had a pleasant, creamy texture. The Brookie Oreo was chunky, not sweet, with a slight bitter/strong taste but good! The Brookie Dough was also chunky, not too sweet, and a bit similar to the Oreo one, but a fudgey version. The Salted Caramel had interesting flavors: the sweet and the salted caramel kinda overlaps when I get a good bite.
Thank you so much for the treats, Barbie Bakes!
