Recently checked out Griddle Brothers in BF Homes and officially adding it as one of our top fave SOUTHIEscoveries this year!🏅

They've got legit noms tacos and rice bowls done street food-style, and WHOAmazingly at that!🙌🏽 Other than the wonderful food, I super appreciated how extraordinarily warm and lovely the Caudal family is. I really felt that.🫶🏽🥹

Here’s a list of all the things I loved about my visit and some pro-tips:

🌮 I tried 2 kinds of tacos: Burger and Chorizo. Both are truly delish!😋 The Burger Taco was pure beef and oozing with cheese, but I was partial to the chorizo version because I’m Ilongga and I looove anything garlicky.😛 The taste really impressed me: it was juuust the right amount of sweet and the garlic flavor was pronounced but not at all overpowering!👌🏽 If you haven’t had this Pinoy sausage in a wrap yet, lemme tell ya: it’s not too late for ‘chori’. Have some! It’s sooo gewd, Southie! *chef's kiss*

🍚 I absolutely ALSO loved their Sisig Rice Bowl! Their sisig was considerably less oily, was seasoned perfectly, had that char taste down to a T, and was complemented perfectly with steamed rice, a sunny side up egg, and their homemade pickled onions.🤤 As far as I can ‘sisig’, theirs is easily better than the more popular versions out there!👍🏽

✅ They have a small menu, but it’s tight, tight, tight! They have taco, rice bowl, and ala carte versions of their featured meats: beef patty, lechon kawali, sisig, chorizo, and gambas. The ala carte ones are perfect as ‘pulutan’ on your next drinking sesh. And, oh! Watch out for their Specials, as they occasionally offer new stuff.

💡 Coincidentally, their store is beside Ralph’s Wine and Spirits. They have a connecting door and customers from both establishments are allowed to cross-order, so props to both biz owners!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Tag team for the ‘wine’! Woot!🙌🏽 Talk about a ‘wine-wine’ situation.🍷😁 (I can do this all day! LOL)

💡The Griddle Brothers was inspired by Rica & Martin Caudal’s 2 sons: Matthew & Moses, and their stints as a pop-up in bazaars all over the south. They would sell Healing Basket products (low carb foods and all-natural personal/home care stuff) but saw the need for bazaar goers getting more food options, so they bought a griddle, made some tacos, and the rest, as they say, is history.🥳
