I'm a full-on ramen girl, and I've been getting my fix for it quite often the past couple of months.๐๐๐ It's a nice break to haveย The Sushi Box in Festival Alabangย send over their stuff, so I still got to have Japanese, but sushi this time. It's not ramen, but, w-ell, you could say I'm having something 'raw, man.'๐๐๐
They sent me their Regular Boxes 1 and 2, and here are my thoughts...
Box 1 has 12rolls or 3 rolls of each of their four best seller maki.
๐๐๐ฅ๐ท๐ฅMAHU: Spam, egg, cucumber, pork floss toppingsย
๐๐ง๐ท๐ฅCORDON: Ham, cheese, cucumber, bread crumbs toppingsย
๐๐ฆ๐ฅญ๐ฅย CALI: Crabstick, mango, cucumber, nori flakes toppings
๐๐ท๐ฅญ๐ฅย TROPICAL: Ham, mango, cucumber, nori flakes toppings
They were all topped with spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce. I would've been happy even without the ham on the Tropical variant, but, of the four, I especially loved the Mahu: it was very savory!๐๐๐ผ First, you get the pork floss taste, then spam... Bam!๐ฑ Jap'yummm'!๐คค I also enjoyed the Cordon because the cheese exploded in my mouth. Bam!๐คฏ Jap'fun'!๐ค LOL.ย
Box 2 had the same variants, but with cheese on top called cheese bombs. They were fun to eat and better served hot, so the cheese will be soft and stretchy.๐๐ผ
Overall, they did a really 'rice' job with keeping their sticky rice layer thin. This made sure that each bite you take is full of fillings!๐๐๐ผ Also, their sauce had an addicting quality to it; you'll definitely keep reaching for more!๐คค๐คค๐คค I can't really compare it with authentic sushi, because this is more friendly to the Pinoy palate, so I'm sure picky Southies will appreciate them even more than I did!๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Thank you 'sushi' much for feeding me,ย The Sushi Box Festival Alabang!๐๐ผ
Check them out for yourselves, cause they're worth a try! 'Sushi' it to believe it, Southies!๐๐ผ
