As if our staycation at Villa Leonora Hot Spring Resort wasn't already 'grate', a 'smokin' surprise decided to show up and it made our dinner (and future business???😉) plans even more WHOAsome!😮🙌🏽🔥

Super appreciate Southie Andrei of Mr. Sigs - Sisig, Liempo and Lechon Manok for driving all the way from Las Piñas to Calamba Laguna just so we could try their stuff. And so... Southie Aisha cooked some steamed rice, gathered the whole gang, we all tasted the goods, mused that this was indeed a great biz idea for Southiepreneurs, and the 'roast' as they say, is history!😋👍🏽

Here's everything we had and what we loved about them:

🍗🧅🔥 Chicken Sisig
This was the clear winner from the group! 'Umami'mous decision! Woot woot!🙌🏽 The roasted flavor of the chicken really married well with their 'sisig sauce/mix' (not sure what you call it).👌🏽 And might we say that the serving was preeetty generous? So good that Southies Carlo and Aisha couldn't get enough of it! Haha!

🐷🧅🔥 Liempo Sisig
Personal favorite of mine, as I'm a pork person and a purist, so pork as sisig just really makes much more sense to me. (Peace to chicken & bangus sisig lovers) LOL. Their version truly was perfectly tasty, i lovette! It was able to live up to their tagline "Tastiest Liempo Sisig in town!" cause I would love to go to town and have some again soon!😋👌🏽

🐷🔥 Crispy Lechon Liempo
Southie Aly's fave, and the group agrees, too. Given that it took some time before we were able to eat it, the crisp wasn't totally lost on this one. Even if it were, its flavor had that redeeming quality, so you wouldn't mind. Yummers!🤤

🍗🔥 Jumbo Lechon Manok
If you like your lechon manok sweet, then this one's right on the money! I should say tho that it was a more balanced sweetness compared to some popular brands. Theirs was juuuuust right, and soooo juicy!😗👌🏽
