Wrapping up our Pagsanjan SOUTHIEscovery trip is this festive, but homey resto with undeniably excellent tacos, churros, and more! We had oodles of fun trying out El Panchito's best-sellers, and ended up meeting and 'taco' with the very warm and lovely owner: Kit Zaguirre.😃

Our experience was so memorable, the place instantly became our fa'burrito'!🤤🤤🤤 Here are the things we tried and loved from their menu:

This was a straightforward and light version. The corn tortillas were soft with a little bit of crisp, not soggy, so that's a good thing. It was subtle on the flavor, so it's definitely something anyone would like.😃

C'mon now, Southies. Admit it. We almost always get way more chips that we want in our nachos, amiright?! El Panchito's version is 'nacho' usual chip-heavy bowl: this was well-balanced when it comes to its chip to topping ratio, plus it wasn't too strong with the spices and the chips weren't super salty.👍🏼

'Taco' 'bout a total 'taco'ver of our taste buds!😜 This dish easily came out as one of our favorites: so unassuming but we were surprised at how much we enjoyed the play on flavors here, plus the fun factor of putting in your own fillings. The taco shells were akin to the texture of Pinoy galletas, and it was super delicious.😗👌🏼 Their beef sauce and coleslaw were just simple on their own but when combined, man oh man! ARRIBA! It's a fiesta!🎉💃🏽

OMG! The moment of 'churro'th!🙌🏼 This was clearly what won the hearts of every 'Juan' on the table that day. Everything about it was 'soy' perfect: the cinnamon sugar was noms, the texture was impeccable (crispy on the outside, soft on the inside), and the chocolate dip was delish!😋 We would happily go back just to have this one again!🤤🤗

TRIVIA: They are the same brains behind Taqueria 101, one of Southie Yani's favorite Fil-Mex places. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, they decided to close permanently. Sooo relieved to hear tho, that El Panchito's is doing pretty well despite the quarantine situation.

PRO-TIPs:
💡The place is very Instagrammable because of their festive interiors and little touches of quirky here and there.🎉🛵🌈
 💡They sell the kind of Corona that's virus-free and something we'd definitely want to go with Mexican dishes.🍺😜
